I quit

I find blogging a boring hassle. So I will most likely never post here again. Of course there's a slim possibility that I might. Come see me at deviantart.com (username raisinrob)

Steampunk prototype: the goggles

I will definitely replace all duck tape with hot/super glue. I plan to line the insides with rabbit fur. It also needs a strap. I'll try to find some elastic stuff I can use. I will also add some gears/ decoration to make em all fAncy-like.
These are soooo comfortable! but when I take em off, it feels like I'm still wearing them.
Yes, those are tiny magnifying glasses! the eye pieces are the ring/plastic from a pressure guage. The nose piece is scrap metal from the same guage. The outside/frame part is leather. All of my material came from hardware stores and Hobby Lobby.

Steampunk Prototype: the monocle

this is my steampunk prototype. I will also make some awesome goggles.

I used a door stopper to buckle it together.

The strap is sherpa (found at a Hobby Lobby near you!) and the eyepiece is just a mason jar lid-ring wrapped in more sherpa. There's no glass in it now, but I'll glue in plexi glass later. I put on a random gear thing and some metal chain. Held together with duct tape.

Lookit how dorky it looks. shame

look Celia!!!!

Shading Pattern
This is pictures from the long gruely proccess of using Microsoft Paint to color Sterling. In the beginning, the computer moniter was being all wonkey, and I could not see colors correctly. I thought I was coloring his vest orange and goggles green...

Then my brother fixed it, so I colored him light grey blue on purpose. Only when I printed him, the blue turned very dark and bright blue.

Almost FanArt

Kila Ilo is an awesome web comic that I have picked up. It's about an unlikely group of aliens from different planets wwho come to what they thought was a planet (earth) void of intelligent life to look for a super weapon. Turns out, humans live on earth! Who'd have thought? It's very *amusing* and the style is... ... I like the style. I didn't try on purpose to mimick the style, but my character did end up looking a lot like Kila Ilo, the comic's main character. I did make the goggles and legs similar on purpose.

*This Kila  - drawn here by the author (Cassie somethin-or-rather)

**This is my guy, Sterling Specter!**
A glue gun enthusiast! The equivilant of a 20 year old human. Approx. 3 1/2 ft. tall.
The speech bubbles says: "Peoow Peoow"
"Glue Gun Enthusiast Only!!!"
"Mad Scientists Only!!"

According to me, he was abandoned on Earth as a kid. Due to his dog-like appearance, some humans took him home and he lives as their pet - only while they're watching! (that's what the clothless picture of him is about.) His humans can't fathom where all of the new glue guns  go or how the curtains, sheets, towels keep dissapearing and reapearing a few days later with clothes shapes cut out of them.

This is Sterling as a kid (= 9) . His species
(evidently alien) lives about to 100. 100 human years for
him is the equivilant of 75 human years for us

I even drew a cute sketch-comic about him finding his first glue gun: he climbs onto table, tries to shoot it and only a tinygoop comes out. So he modifies it to "boosh" out.

Sterling's weapon of choice: projectile glue gun!

SUPER HAPPY FUNTIME CARTOONS!!!

Well, I accidentally deleted this post, so I redid it. It's just not the same!

My friend showed me a tutorial on drawing outraged
faces. I thought I'd giveit a stab, and this is the
result.Well, my anger face turned into a rabbit.
That rabbit turned into a phycotic sociopath with a chainsaw for a "friend"
I named him Duncan.

here's a friendly doodle of him.

I drew a really awsome cartoon mouse, but I gave him away
and procceded to draw this "kittymon" (Pikachu coloring)
Same kittymon, side view
This is my cutie-rat Ace. Just cuz.

It's POSSIBLE

Do you remember the Disney Channel show Kim Possible? If not, Google it. I tried to replicate the style  ( I heard the original artist used a lot of figure eights to draw the characters.) Here's the results.

Early variation of Pinata cat from a few posts ago. I was just getting started.

If you look back a post, you'll see this same girl
with a caption saying there's a story that goes with her.

So, appearantly, this girl named Ana can transform
into Pinata cat. Yes, she does have horns.

This looks like Kim Possible's male counterpart, "Kevin Probable".

A random girl: Alice

I got distracted by kitties!

extra characters.
And I made a dopey comic. I didn't have a story idea, I just wanted to practice drawing my characters.

I love how she transforms into pinata cat here

I think they turned out pretty good. If I wanted them to look more like they came from the show, i could, but it might take me a couple hours. Nope. I'm happy with this.

Your Fun Factiod(s) Of Today!

If you have read the previous post, you obviously know I recently adopted Herby the Hermit Crab! He was all well and friendly. Never pinched me when i put him in my hand, ate lots of cashews. Now, a week to the day later(well, a few days ago), he's all pinch you this and pinch you that! Sadness. Completly aside from the pinching, I got a spray bottel to keep him moist. (no, the word "moist" is not pornographic *Dead Like Me reference*)

*spraying action!= Happy Herby*

As long as I have a spray bottle, I'm gonna have fun with it, right? So I spray my brothers car, spray the house, spray the dog(BTW she hates it, makes her think she's in trouble). Then I sprayed my ratties! They love it! It's so adorable because when I put em on the floor and spray them, they run away then climb up my pant leg for more.

Why So Crabby?

Why? I'll tell you why! Because I'm getting a hermit crab! Yay! I used to have about six of em' but they ended up eating each other (except for my oldest, who I sold on Craig'slist). I won't go into detail - long story.

But I'm getting a new one! JUST one. I'll post pictures of him on this post when I get him. That will probably be today! *so excited* (I love having animals in the house)*******************************************************************************************

nearly  jumpin' out of his shell

Edit: Here he is! The name's Herby (Herbert) because he's all energetic. So cute and stuff! Yeah, it is still today.
